Budget-Friendly Fall Boots...

Living in New England has so many perks and one of those is being able to enjoy all four seasons! Fall is one of my favorites. I love the coziness of it all; hot cocoa, crockpot meals, pumpkin everything, apple spiced candles, and the FASHION. Accessorizing with scarves, layering with jackets, and cuffing your jeans to go with your perfect Fall boots :) Today, I'm sharing some boots/ankle booties! Every single pair of boots I'm sharing are under $100! (Happy dance!)

I hope you enjoy ... thanks for stopping by!

Kokadjo, Maine Getaway...

A few weeks ago we snuck away to spend time at my parents camp in Kokadjo, Maine. It's such a peaceful setting and since there isn't any cell service where we are, we have no choice but to unplug and just enjoy each other's company :) As soon as we start the drive, it's like I instantly relax and take a breath. I love going through each sleepy town on our way there, sometimes stopping at our favorite spot in Monson, Spring Creek BBQ. Passing through Greenville my anticipation begins to mount as I know it's not long until we are to our destination. "Camp" (which is more like a house now since my parents have expanded it and added electricity, running water, etc) instantly makes me want to change into sweats, put on a trucker hat and "rough it" without a care in the world. We love to pile into the back of my dad's pick up and ride around to see if we can spot a moose. Of course, we're guaranteed to see lots of wildlife, but catching a moose is the real treat :) My sweet mother always has LOTS of candy and treats waiting, plus everything needed to make s'mores (which we always do). This time, we brought the Sound of Music by London's request so we could have a movie night. So fun! Now that she's getting older, she loves to explore all that nature has to offer - and there's  A LOT up there! My parents also had a swing built for her with the best view of the lake and the mountains. She's the luckiest girl in the world - so spoiled!

I took a few photos and wanted to share them with you all! Thanks for stopping by!

Cape Elizabeth, Maine...

My family and I decided to spend our vacation in the place we love so much...MAINE. Chris and I have vacationed in Maine the past 7 years (could be more? Too lazy to do the math) ...but the moral of the story is, we just can't get enough of it. We typically go to Kennebunkport and stay at a hotel or bed & breakfast, but we decided to rent a house this year!

We have never used Airbnb but have always heard great things about it from friends and family who have! I started sifting through properties throughout Southern Maine everywhere from Kennebunkport to Ogunquit to York, Wells, etc. I happened upon a Cape Elizabeth beach house and immediately fell in love. The reviews showed that guests absolutely loved the home (which has been recently renovated) and that it was a perfect location in reference to the beach. It was also 3-bedrooms which was the perfect size for our little family! We were so excited it was available to book!

When we arrived there were fresh flowers on the table, a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge and ground coffee from C Salt ready to be brewed. Such a warm welcome! The decor was very "beachy" and modern, with a big farmhouse-style sink, floating shelves, and the prettiest shade of green cabinets in the kitchen that caught my eye! We simply loved every little touch! Of course, London immediately wanted to check out the beach - which was just a short walk. Thankfully, the home owners provided us with the cutest wagon to cart everything down! It was really such a perfect set-up. I had never been to Crescent Beach so I was excited to check it out! It's pretty perfect for little ones because it's so calm, being that it's a cove. There are tons of rocks, which could have kept Lo busy for hours - she loved to throw them and also collect them in her bucket. Kettle Cove is another small beach area where we took Lo to search the seaweed for crabs!

Not only was the location of the home so close to the beach, but it was also close to Portland, where we had planned to take the 15-minute ferry ride to Peaks Island. We rented a golf cart and were able to get around the whole island in just an hour - even making a few stops to see where my husband attended elementary school and the home that he grew up in! It was so much fun to share it with London, and she absolutely loved bombing around on the golf cart!

We were able to have a few friends and family members over to check out our little beach home and spend quality time with us which was really special. It's definitely a place we can't wait to return to and build more memories together! I wanted to share some photos with you - and if you're interested in checking out the home further, you can click here!

Thanks for stopping by!

Easter...

My Outfit: Dress: Victoria Beckham for Target (only $35!) | Shoes: Steve Madden | Purse: Aldo, similar styles here and here

We had the most amazing Easter Sunday! To start, it was 85 degrees ... which always makes for a good day, but we also had such a fun time hosting family and playing outside with our girl. She was so excited to tear apart her Easter basket first thing in the morning and was most excited about her new children's bible and bubbles! Of course, I had to let her steal a Reese's peanut butter cup right away because, well, EASTER! We filled some eggs with yogurt bites and goldfish for a little egg hunt as well, which she loved! For dinner I made a pot roast in the crockpot with carrots and onions (you can find the recipe I used here) and for sides we had brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes, apple cheddar biscuits, and deviled eggs! Dessert was a double-decker chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream frosting, which I added green food coloring too as "grass" so I could top the cake with mini cadbury eggs! Lolo thought it was pretty cute ;) Funny story ...  I tried to get a head start on dessert the night before so I baked the cake and then realized that I hadn't put the eggs in! #EasterFail

What did you guys make for dinner? We typically do ham, but broke away from that this year and it was pretty nice to stick a roast in the crockpot and forget about it for 10 hours! May have to make that a new tradition :) I wanted to share some photos from our day ... and also my dress which is only $35 from Target. It's from the new Victoria Beckham line ... she has designed so many cute pieces! I also loved this orange one-shoulder shift dress too, but ended up going with the pink because it matched London a little bit better :) I think it would make a great wedding guest dress too! You can shop it above but make sure to check out the photos from our day, below!

(BELATED) Birthday Getaway...

My sweet husband planned a little surprise getaway to Maine for my birthday last month and in true New England fashion, we had a blizzard that changed our plans. Thankfully, he was able to reschedule our stay at the Inn By The Sea in beautiful Cape Elizabeth. I had never stayed there before this weekend but had heard such amazing things about it. For my fellow Bostonians, it's only about 1.5 hours from the city, so it's the perfect little escape, even just for the night!

Everything is done to perfection and there's great attention to detail. They offered us warm apple cider when we arrived and set up spa services for us as well as dinner reservations at their on-site restaurant, Sea Glass. The rooms were so spacious and lovely, as well. We had a beautiful fireplace with a view of the ocean. The shower was a beautiful walk-in with a dual vanity and complete with L'occitane bath products...LOVE! Chris booked a massage for me at the spa and it was AMAZING. The steam room and shower were available to use before or after my treatment, and let's just say, I never wanted to leave. The shower had 8 shower heads and you can adjust the temperature via touch screen. It took me a little while to figure out (I was dodging water from every direction, haha!) ...but once I did, it was amazing!

Dinner was so yummy and the company was even better; it was so nice to spend some alone time together! We are usually rushing to eat or not even eating at all because we are so concerned with London - so it was nice to take our time and relax! (Although, all we could talk about was Lolo ;) We enjoyed breakfast there the next morning and felt refreshed even after just one evening away. There's something about being on the ocean (and in Maine) that instantly centers me. We love going home, and while we don't get to do it too often together anymore, it's so special when we can.

Here are some photos from our little getaway!

Independence Day treats...

Beacon Hill Morning...

There's nothing more beautiful than Boston in the summertime. The city is so charming with its dreamy cafes, blooming flowers, and lines of row houses down cobblestone streets. I fall more and more in love with it every day! Beacon Hill, a neighborhood in Boston, is just absolutely stunning. If you plan to travel to Boston, please take a stroll through. You won't be disappointed. A few eateries to hit are Tatte Bakery for delicious coffee and pastries, Deluca's Market for cheese, wine and fresh produce, and The Paramount which is a casual bistro staple in Beacon Hill!

How to wear stripes well...

Ladies ... haven't we all been told at one point or another that stripes are the devil? "They make you look wide!" ... "horizontal stripes are soooo not flattering on anyone" ... blah blah blah. Personally, I'm a fan of stripes in fashion. I think there are a few tips to consider when choosing your pieces, but I'm definitely not afraid to rock horizontal striped dresses, shirts, etc. I think they're super cute! A few things to remember ...

1. One piece of clothing can be stripes, the rest should be solid. No conflicting patterns please!

2. Accessorize the stripes! I have the cutest striped dress (navy & white) and I love to wear a chunky colorful necklace to jazz up the look!

3. Tone down the bold stripes - keep them thin. Pinstripes are especially cute for either business or casual wear.

Shop my picks above for some chic striped pieces! I even threw some shoes & swimsuits in there as well :)

Feature: Natalie Tenerelli ... Star of "LA Clippers Dance Squad" & Survivor

NT2 My Survivor bestie, Natalie Tenerelli is not only beautiful, smart & an amazing friend ... but she's also INCREDIBLY talented! She has worked SO hard as a dancer her entire life and that dedication has led her to amazing experiences! I'm so excited to share that she will be returning to the big screen TONIGHT, starring in a new reality show, "LA Clippers Dance Squad!" on E! I had a chance to do a little Q&A with Natalie so her fans can get to know her even better!

I'll also share a few photos from our experience on season 22 of Survivor ... Lord knows we have LOTS of them, since we were basically attached at the hip ;)

Tune in TONIGHT, 10/9c pm on E!

1. What can we expect to see on the first season of “LA Clippers Dance Squad?"

Blood, sweat and tears! The show chronicles the lives of seven of us dancers on and off the court.

2. Should we prepare ourselves to see you involved in any girl drama?

There are 20 of us so we are like sisters. We don't all agree on everything, but at the end of the day we have each others back.

3. As we both know, it’s a gamble putting yourself out there on reality tv – what do you hope the audience learns about you?

I would hope that the audience will see that I'm resilient. I never give up even when things get tough.

4. What are some of your beauty “must haves?”

Psst, dry hair shampoo: We sweat so much on game days and it really helps to keep my hair looking fresh all throughout the day. Lorac Tantalizer: I don't have time to get a professional spray tan and I'm not the biggest fan of tanning in a bed so this product keeps me looking bronzed! Beauty Blender: The little spongy piece of heaven is key in setting my foundation. It makes your skin look dewy and blended to perfection!

5. What do you do to stay in such amazing shape? (Besides dancing of course?)

I love taking classes! Yoga, pilates, barre...i love it all. I don't get much done in the gym by myself. I also love hiking!

6. Lastly, you have an incredible sense of style - where are some of your favorite places to shop so your fans can dress like you?

Free people and urban outfitters are two of my favs!

20-Minute (at home) Circuit!

HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE!!!!

(Sorry if my cheery attitude makes you want to punch me right in the mouth - but I'm just trying some reverse psychology on myself. Maybe if I pretend that I like Mondays and they're super cool, then I'll be able to cope. Ok? Great. Settled)

This morning I woke up, immediately changed into my workout gear, and magically something happened ... I found myself a teeeeensy bit more motivated to attack the day! I've been trying to kick it up a notch in the workout department with spring basically here (in New England) and summer well on its way! On days that I can't squeeze in a workout at the gym - I try my best to make it up at home with a quick circuit like the one below! Anything that gets my heart rate up and makes me sweat a little is a win for this mama!

Guys...it's 20 minutes. Let's be honest, we sit on our phones checking Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for longer than that (Just me). I hope you can find the time to jump start your Monday! Let me know what y'all think!
