Literally every time I paint my nails these days I think to myself "maybe because of this fresh mani, I can fool some people into thinking I have my life together!" Tell me I'm not the only one that thinks this? Maybe it's just a mom thing ... but if my nails are painted, I feel like I'm on my "A-game." I try (key word, TRY) to do my nails once a week, so when I saw a photo of "Graffiti nails" on social media, I knew I had to try them out during one of Lo's naps :)
I was prepared to mess up on the first try - but thankfully, I didn't have any re-do's! To accomplish the look of graffiti, I used a white base in two coats of OPI's "Alpine Snow," and let that dry completely. The two colors I chose to go on top are: OPI "Passion" and OPI "That's Hula-rious!" ... a pale pink and mint green. Feel free to use different colors ... I just thought those were good Spring/Easter colors! The key is to make sure that most of the color is off of the brush & you make a few small strokes on each nail, going in different directions. Do the same with the next color.
- OPI 3-in-1 Base Coat/Top Coat & Strengthener
- OPI Alpine Snow (White)
- OPI "Passion" (peachy pink)
- OPI "That's Hula-rious!" (mint green)
- Finish up with: Nicole by OPI Drying Drops *Can I just add that this stuff is amazing! It's kinda pricey (about $9) but literally dries your nails in 60 seconds! A must-haves for Moms!
Let me know what you guys think & if you try Graffiti nails - I'd love to see what yours look like!!
