5-Minute Makeup Routine...

Happy Monday!

I just did a little make up re-vamp and am super excited about the new products I'm using so I wanted to share! It's always fun to purge old make up and start fresh! For me, I needed to find a new liquid foundation and under eye concealer. I ran into Sephora and in true mom fashion, told the make up specialist that I had 10 minutes to find what I needed. I was running around like a crazy person, but was able to find everything (foundation, concealer, Anastasia brow wiz, and even the make up remover) that I love!

I also wanted to let you guys know - I put on "my face" in 4 mins 36 seconds. Yes, I timed it. I just DON'T have a lot of time to spend putting on make up in the morning so I wanted to share a little routine that you can do in less than five minutes. It's the perfect amount for day time, whether you're heading to work or "momming" ... it accommodates both :)

Here's what I do:

1. Wash face + moisturize. I use Cetaphil wash with the moisturizer, then I apply my under eye cream, which is by an all-natural line called Puristry, sold at Anthropologie. I LOVE it.

2. Under eye concealer: Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. This is a new product I've been using and I love it! It brightens under my eye and has nice coverage for those dark circles and bags!

3. Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion liquid foundation or my bareMinerals matte loose powder foundation, depending on the amount of coverage I want. I've been using Bare Minerals for a few years now and it's what I wear the most for a natural, every day look. If I'm going on a date night for example, I'll use my Laura Mercier liquid foundation, which is also a new product as of a month ago - that I love! It doesn't leave my skin oily and goes on smooth. (I use my Sephora Collection PRO Airbrush for application)

4. Eyeliner (optional). I don't always wear liner ... but when I do I use my brown MAC twist liner! I always line the top and the bottom lashes.

5. Mascara. I've been using L'Oreal Paris Voluminous black mascara for years now, and that won't ever change. Not only is it inexpensive, but I think it's the best out there! I've tried Dior Black, Tarte, Sephora Collection, and a few others...only to come back to L'Oreal. It's the best!

6. Brows. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz is amazing! It has a brush on one end and liner on the other. It's a "must-have" product in my opinion!

7. Cheeks. Another Nars product that I use is the Nars Highlighting Blush for the apples of my cheeks. I like the color for any season.

8. Lips. I have SO many go-to's but my favorite for day time has to be the Sephora Long-Lasting Cream Lip Stain, #40 "Pink Tea!" It's the perfect nude color that's understated yet makes your lips pop! I also just got #13 "marvelous mauve" which I love and the "Always Red" which is perfect for evening! If you're looking for a bold matte lipstick perfect for Fall, Laura Mercier Velour Lovers Lip Color in "Devotion" is amazing.

Please comment below if you have any questions on any of the products I use or my routine!

Stocking Stuffers For Her...

The holidays are fast approaching which means we'll all be scrambling on Christmas Eve to fill the stockings of our loved ones, am I right? To try and help you avoid that, I've picked some of my favorite stuffers that I think the lady in your life will LOVE! If you're ever wondering what makes a good stocking stuffer, head to Sephora or Ulta and you can't go wrong! They've got you covered from hair products and makeup to perfume and nail polish! Not to mention, Sephora has adorable holiday gift sets which always have a little something for everyone! I love this "Light It Up" Lipstick gift set comes with SIX different shades of Smashbox lip color for just $29 ($117 value!). I also think your lady would like this sugar body scrub and Argan oil body butter with a warm apple cider scent! (Umm, yum!) If you're totally overwhelmed with all this beauty stuff - just go for a gift card and you can never go wrong!

Jewelry is always a good idea for stockings! BaubleBar has some really cute items that aren't crazy expensive - but super trendy! This ring is so cute and this pendant necklace is really popular right now!

Perfume is always a welcomed gift and some yummy scents right now are: Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle,  Versace Bright Crystal (which I have, and love!), and Chloe Eau de Parfum.

If you've got a mom in your life, this mama tee is so cute + one of my favorites! You can click on any of the above photos to shop directly! I tried to choose a variety of items that I know will make great stocking stuffers! What are some of your favorite things to receive in your stockings?

Scents That Make Sense!

Chris is always the one to buy my perfume...and I must say he has impeccable taste.  He usually goes by how pretty the bottle is, and never goes wrong! That must be the secret! :)

There are two main things I look for in a perfume. First, it has to be light and fresh and second, very feminine. I don't want anything too spicy or masculine smelling - I'm more on the fruity side! I'm going to share with you 5 of my favorite perfumes!

In no particular order...

1. Marc Jacobs "Daisy"

2. Prada "Candy"

3. Miss Dior Cherie

4. Dolce & Gabbana "Dolce"

5. Estee Lauder "Beautiful" - My mother has worn this for as long as I can remember, so it's an emotional pick for me :)

Fall Makeup Trends!

Bold brows. Dark lips. Smokey Eyes. When September hits (now, almost October!) it's time to rock the Fall makeup trends! So...I guess I'm a little late to the party - but better late than never right?
1. Bold Brows - Benefit cosmetics "Gimme Brow" comes in two colors, and a wand to brush on the gel. The gel clings to each hair to create the illusion of thicker and darker brows. Another perk...it's water resistant!
2. Jewel-tone Lips - I love to experiment with bold lip colors and I'm a big fan of lip stain, specifically, Sephora Collection's Cream Lip Stain.  "Everlasting Burgundy" is a perfect color for this season! It's bold, long-lasting, and will definitely make the statement you're looking for!
3. Smokey Eyes - This was a staple look at this year's New York Fashion Week! We saw lots of brown smokey eyes on the runway, and it was gorgeous. So now I share with you the best palette ever created...Naked3 by Urban Decay. There are 12 difference hues, ranging from rose to deep brown/black...some with glittery finishes and others creating a matte look. Highly recommend this purchase...it will last you for a LONG time!
