A friend first told me about Instacart, a grocery delivery service, a few months ago but I had yet to try it until TODAY. I can't believe I had waited so long. Let me just tell you about this service...and all of the amazing reasons why you should try it too! First, the website is super easy to navigate. All you do is type in your zip code and a list of area grocery stores will come up. You can choose to order from any or all of these places if you like! I did my shopping at Shaw's and Market Basket...but Whole Foods was an option as well! The delivery service comes between 1-2 hours from the time of payment. I have been home from work the last couple of days and can't really leave the house. My mom and sister are on their way to take care of me while Chris is gone, and I needed some things for the house. I ordered a variety of foods like fresh produce, meat, yogurt, veggies - and they all look perfect. You can add little notes on each item when you order if you want, for example, I wanted "ripe bananas only."
The cost is about $8-10 more (for the entire order) than you would get in store but to have the benefit of not leaving your home - I would pay that any day! I will definitely be using this service again in the future!
